I used this activity as part of a wider embedding a feedback culture programme and also as part of the introduction to feedback. I used it with everybody from the CEO and Directors to team members and it created a good deal of fun and discussion. I got them to draw their company logo adapting it a little bit, as the creative task and provided the 4 feedback scenarios. It was a fun and energising activity that really got to the point about constructive feedback.

Notes: This module is intended to provide a very simple introduction to transactional analysis, a theory developed by Eric Berne in the 1950s.
If you are not familiar with transactional analysis you will need to read through all the notes carefully plus the additional material in the handout. Go through the exercises on your own first so that you can see the rationale. If you have time, try to observe the different types “in play” in your own interactions with people.

I have been using this activity for many years now and it always works well. It helps to break down what could be a quite complicated topic into a fun activity, increasing the delegate's self-awareness and enabling them to see how slight changes in behaviour can have a positive impact. It ties into any Emotional Intelligence training too.
