This well written activity is an excellent way to develop participants' understanding of the leadership continuum. The case study provokes valuable discussion and encourages participants to reflect on their own approach to typical management situations. It is also useful when working with a less experienced group who don't have a lot of personal examples to bring to a discussion or for those who are reluctant to discuss their own scenarios.
I have sometimes asked the group to plan what sort of conversations they would have with the various personalities in the case-study so they can practice feedback and managing performance.

I have used this activity several times and have received excellent feedback from participants. Remember to check in on groups to make sure they understand the brief and the expectation that they will be presenting back to the group.
It also provides an opportunity to reinforce key learning points about communication styles/presentation skills; owning the message; and congruence.
This is a well designed activity that adds value to a management training session.

This is a well structured session plan. I got the delegates to put their guesses into the chat box as some of the group didn't have very good video connection. The reaction when the Gallup global engagement figure is announced is priceless! The breakout discussion on motivators was productive and better than just getting groups to discuss "what are the motivators and demotivators?"

I used this session recently and it gave people time out to fully explore the motivators they had and ways to identify their team's motivators. The session ended on an upbeat note with the exercise on actions to implement creating a great conversation.
I also found the poll questions very useful for generating conversation and insights.
