Background
Steve began his career in retail before getting into newspaper printing – spending ten years at Portsmouth Publishing & Printing, where he worked at production manager level.
Four years at Manroland followed – a role in which Steve excelled and resulted in him being headhunted by NewsUK.
During his decade at the media conglomerate, Steve learned a variety of new skills which he subsequently utilised in technical and management training courses – picking up degrees in business management and lean enterprise. He also became a Chartered Fellow with CMI – an organisation in which Steve continues to serve as an end-point assessor and marker/moderator.
After gaining knowledge in coaching and counselling, Steve moved into the lean and continuous improvement side of the business, which is where he became truly invested in the people side of organisations.
He left NewsUK to set up his own business in 2016 – SWIS Services – and currently works to support companies all over the UK and beyond in enhancing operations.
